Autumn sees price fall for Spring

Dacia has dropped the price of its Spring for the autumn, knocking another £500 off the price of Britain’s cheapest electric car for a limited time.

The company’s ‘Electric Boost’ promotion drops the monthly finance payment to as little as £158 via a four-year Personal Contract Purchase (PCP) deal until the end of September.

When purchased through the same four-year, 3.9% PCP finance package, the more powerful Expression 65 and Extreme 65 trim levels cost £168 and £178 per month respectively.

Cash customers can also benefit from the same great £500 ‘Electric Boost’, bringing the Spring’s entry price to £14,495.

Dacia will also allow customers to add the cost of a home charger to their monthly payment for under £20 per month, which will be easily recouped by most customers when they take advantage of lower overnight energy costs. The cost of Dacia’s home charger is £949, including standard installation. Dacia makes a £250 contribution if bought on finance, so customers will pay a balance of £699.

Using a 7kW charger, the Spring’s 26.8 kWh battery can be charged from 20% to 100% in around four hours, which gives an official range of up to 140 miles.

The Spring is offered in a choice of Expression and Extreme trim levels, with a 45 hp or 65 hp electric motor.

Standard specification includes a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, cruise control, manual air conditioning, rear parking sensors, Media Control system with USB port, electric front windows and remote central locking.

The first customer deliveries are expected in October.
