The Renault 5 E-Tech Electric has landed in the UK, with the first batch of over 200 units arriving at Portbury Docks, near Bristol. Fresh from Renault’s Douai production line in France, the shipment will supply dealerships across the country as demand for test drives grows.
The first car to roll off the Neptune Aegli vehicle carrier was a range-topping Iconic Five model, finished in Pop Yellow! with a contrasting black roof. A large proportion of the shipment features bright Pop Yellow! and Pop Green!, staying true to the Renault 5’s aim of injecting more colour into UK roads typically dominated by greyscale cars.

With prices starting from £22,995 OTR, Renault’s latest all-electric supermini is set to make a strong impact in the EV market. It blends retro styling with modern tech, aiming to offer an engaging ownership experience at an affordable price point. First UK deliveries are expected in spring.
Even before reaching British roads, the Renault 5 E-Tech Electric has racked up an impressive collection of industry awards. It was recently crowned European Car of the Year 2025, while UK accolades include Electrifying.com's Value For Money Car of the Year. The car’s nostalgic design, driving dynamics and value for money have been key to its early success.

Available in three trim levels – Evolution, Techno, and Iconic Five – the Renault 5 E-Tech Electric offers a choice of 40kWh or 52kWh batteries, with a heat pump, dual horizontal screens, and Google-integrated OpenR Link system included on higher trims.
Renault is also offering finance deals to make the new EV more accessible. Customers placing orders before the end of March can get a Renault 5 E-Tech Electric Evolution Urban Range for £249 per month on a 5.5% APR PCP deal, with a £555 deposit contribution.
