Citroen has introduced a My Ami Play tool to the Ami to improve smartphone connectivity for owners. Although the vehicle already comes with a DAT@AMI dongle, which allows drivers to access key vehicle information, such as charge level, the new system adds more functionality. 

Through My Ami Play and Citroën Switch, owners can access more features such as navigation or internet radio, and make calls via Bluetooth, with the smartphone doubling as an infotainment screen. 

Users of My Ami Play can customise the menu to feature the functions they wish to use regularly for Navigation and music such as Waze, Google Maps, Apple Maps, Deezer, and Apple Music. Coupled with the optional Ami Bluetooth speaker, which slots into a special housing in the dashboard, drivers can stream content. In addition to the use of third-party apps for navigation and music, My Ami Play also features in-built access to internet radio and allows call functionality.

Citroën Switch is a new steering wheel control unit that connects to the smartphone via Bluetooth, with drivers able to access their phone through the steering wheel without taking their eyes off the road. The driver has the choice of positioning the Citroën Switch wherever they choose on the steering wheel or throughout the cabin, to ensure ease of use. The smartphone can be placed in the holder on the dashboard which then functions as the Ami’s infotainment screen.

Citroën Switch will be included as standard on new orders of My Ami Pop, My Ami Tonic and versions featuring a colour pack from 01 September. Citroen Switch can also be ordered as an accessory from dealers.
