Citroën has opened order books for its ë-C3 Aircross with prices starting from £22,990. Based on the same Stellantis platform as the new Fiat Grande Panda and Vauxhall Frontera, the new model will sit above the ë-C3 in Citroen’s range.

The ë-C3 Aircross is equipped with 113bhp motor and a 44kWh battery, which delivers a WLTP range of up to 188 miles. Rapid charging from 20-80% takes around 26 minutes with a 100kW DC charger. For drivers who need a longer range, Citroen plans to introduce a larger battery option later in the year.

Measuring 4.39 metres in length, the new model is larger than its predecessor, with what Citroen claims is class-leading levels of rear seat space. Boot capacity is 460 litres with the seats up, expanding to 1,600 litres when folded flat. A new seven-seat version adds further flexibility but isn’t available with an electric drivetrain.

Buyers can choose between two trim levels: PLUS and MAX. Standard equipment across the range includes 17-inch Aragonite diamond-cut alloys, a 10.25-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a reversing camera, and automatic rain-sensing wipers. Inside, the cabin benefits from Citroën’s Advanced Comfort seats and, for the first time, suspension with progressive hydraulic bump stops.

Stepping up to MAX trim adds extra convenience features such as front and lateral parking sensors, a heated windscreen, blind-spot monitoring, and LED rear lights. Inside, customers get a heated steering wheel, heated front seats, and a wireless phone charger. Navigation is also included, complete with a free 12-month subscription to Connect PLUS services, offering real-time traffic updates and speed camera alerts.

Orders are now open, with first deliveries expected in late spring.
