DS Automobiles has opened orders for its latest all-electric flagship, the DS N°8. Available in Pallas and Étoile trim levels, the SUV offers a choice of three power outputs, along with two- and four-wheel drive options. Prices start from £50,790 for the Pallas FWD. Inspired by the DS Aero Sport Lounge concept, the N°8’s powertrains include a 230bhp FWD version, a 245bhp Long Range FWD, and a 350bhp AWD Long Range model. The latter can sprint from 0-62mph in just 5.4 seconds, according to DS.  

Two battery options are available: a 73.7kWh pack for the 230bhp model and a 97.2kWh pack for Long Range versions. In terms of range, the entry-level model returns up to 341 miles on the WLTP cycle, while the AWD version comes with an impressive 427 mile WLTP figure. The longest-legged model in the launch line-up is the Long Range FWD model that delivers a 466 mile WLTP figure. DC rapid charging peaks at 160kW, which, according to DS, allows even the big battery model to recharge from 20-80% in under 30 minutes. 

Inside, the DS’s infotainment setup features a 16-inch touchscreen with speech recognition, while DS Drive Assist delivers semi-autonomous driving, including lane-change assistance and predictive cruise control. High-end materials such as Nappa leather upholstery, Clous de Paris detailing, and an optional panoramic roof should give the D8 a more luxurious feel than its Peugeot and Citroen stablemates.

Customers can further fine-tune the spec of their car with two option packs. The Tech Pack and the Absolute Tech Pack are available on Pallas and Étoile models respectively. Tech Pack adds a digital rearview mirror, rear traffic alert system, a 360 area view system and electrically heated and folding exterior mirrors to the Pallas trim. Etoile models can be enhanced by adding the Absolute Tech Pack, featuring DS driver attention monitoring, DS night vision and electrically folding door mirrors withLED spotlights.

Customers can configure and order their DS N°8 now via DS retailers or the DS Store Online ahead of UK deliveries starting later this year.
