Peugeot has published the first pictures of its new E-3008 ahead of the car's official reveal next week.
The first all-electric version of Peugeot's best-selling 3008 will rival other EV SUVs such as the Volkswagen ID.4 and the recently revealed Renault Scenic E-Tech.
The French firm is promising some big upgrades in terms of technology, with the car being the first model to have its latest i-Cockpit interior. It'll feature a wide BMW-esque curved screen stretching across the top of the dashboard, and 'i-Toggle' shortcut keys in a central panel. Expect plenty of premium-feeling materials to be used, too.
New e-3008 will be the first Peugeot to get firm's next generation i-Cockpit The exterior design is also the next step for Peugeot. The front features ultra slim LED headlights sitting above the firm's trademark triple-claw LED daytime running lights, and there's a more coupe-like design to the E-3008's roofline. The high-set taillights, meanwhile, are a nod to the Peugeot 408.
The striking new SUV will sit atop a brand new electric car platform. Called 'STLA Medium', Stellantis (Peugeot's parent) is promising to set new standards for range and efficiency, and the E-3008 will come with a choice of three powertrains, including a dual-motor version and a long range model with a driving range of up to 435 miles.
The new E-3008 will spawn a larger E-5008 in the not too distant future, and will go on sale next year. Further details will be published on September 12.
