The new Allure Care provides cover for the electric motor, charging system, powertrain, and electrical and mechanical components for up to eight years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. It is in addition to the battery warranty, which has the same cover.
Allure Care coverage is automatically activated for two years or 16,000 miles after each service is carried out within the Peugeot dealer network.
The company is the first European maker to offer such a long warranty. Rivals such as MG and Kia have seven year cover, although this covers the entire car and not just the powertrain. Hyundai has five year cover with unlimited mileage. Toyota and Lexus give up to 10 years cover, subject to the car being serviced within the approved network.
Phil York, Peugeot’s Marketing and Communication Director, said: "We believe that Allure Care will accelerate the adoption of the latest generation of 100% electric Peugeot vehicles by offering customers the peace of mind they need to take the step. This coverage of exceptional breadth is a testament to the confidence we have in the quality and reliability of our products."
The E-3008’s prices start at £45,850, making it a competitor for the Tesla Model Y, Toyota bZ4X and VW ID.5.
