Skoda has given a glimpse at how its future load-lugging estate cars will look with a new concept car.

The Vision 0 will make its world debut at September's Munich Motor Show in Germany, with Skoda promising the concept is the perfect showcase of its 100-year history in making estate cars.

Although Skoda hasn't confirmed what the concept car will be powered by, it's widely expect to feature a pure-electric powertrain and use the Volkswagen Group's new SSP architecture.

Details are very thin on the ground, but the teaser image published by Skoda shows a classic estate car silhouette, with the carmaker confirming it'll feature an "evolution of the Modern Solid design language".

Modern Solid is Skoda's name for its current styling theme, and has already been shown off on the Elroq small SUV (pictured below) and refreshed Enyaq. Its hallmark feature is the illuminated 'Tech-Deck Face' – a modern take on the traditional Skoda grille.

It's unclear if the Vision 0 previews an electric Skoda Octavia Estate, the Superb Estate, or even both. But the concept car is rumoured to be under five metres in length, meaning it could be Octavia sized. It's also not known if a future Octavia-sized electric estate would replace the existing petrol- and hybrid-powered Octavia, as the Czech brand may decide to extend the current car's lifecycle.

Commenting on the teaser image reveal, Klaus Zellmer, CEO of Skoda Auto, said: "The Skoda Vision O design study will highlight the future trajectory of estate models under the influence of new technologies, sustainability, and the deep experience of Skoda Auto in this segment. This will be one of our most significant steps in developing and evolving our design language even further for this period of transition in the automotive industry.

"It will position us to remain a major player in the estate segment, where Skoda Auto has been engaged since the 1920s. We are excited to present this concept to the world in early September 2025, marking a new era for Skoda Auto. Stay tuned for further information which will be released in advance of the Skoda Vision O world premiere."

Skoda has previously showed off a whole range of future EV models, with an estate car being a key component of the plan
