Tesla has revealed a new version of its Model 3, offering an official range of 436mi. This makes it the longest-range Model 3 ever and the most efficient Tesla vehicle to date. Tesla claim it is the most efficient EV available in Europe, with a miles per kWh figure of 4.97. It also says it offers the best price-to-range ratio of any electric car in the UK.

The new Model 3 Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive offers the combination of the bigger Long Range battery and single motor for the first time. The current twin motor AWD has a range of 421 miles using the same battery, while the cheaper rear drive standard range version offers 318 miles. Both these will continue to be available, unlike in with the Model Y where the new Long Range version replaced the entry-level car.

The new Model 3 LRRWD costs £44,990, making it £4,000 more than standard range RWD and £5,000 cheaper than the AWD.

The first deliveries of the new Model 3 Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive will be in November.
