It’s official – driving an electric car makes you more attractive to potential partners, according to two surveys. 

A Ford-sponsored study of 1,000 U.S-based adults found three quarters of respondents said they were more likely to date someone if they drove an electric car. A huge 64% said they would be more likely to take an electric car on a first date to make a good first impression. 

Meanwhile, the website money.co.uk conducted a survey to see which car people found most attractive on dating apps by analysing the data from 100,000 dating profiles on a range of apps across the world, where the picture used included a car. It revealed that the Tesla Model S is the most attractive car, and led to a 113% rise in matches for men and 13% of females. 

Second place was another Tesla, the Model 3. Both beat the Aston Martin DB9 and Porsche Cayman, which took third and fourth places respectively.
