BMW has added a new performance range-topper to its iX EV - the M60.
It brings the total number of iX variants available to three, with the M60 set to arrive in the UK this summer priced from £111,905.
It’s BMW's most powerful electric car yet, delivering 611bhp and 1,100Nm of torque from its electric motors. Despite being able to go from 0-60mph in 3.6 seconds, the iX M60 has a claimed range of up to 357 miles, which is only slightly down on the 380 miles you’d get from a regular iX xDrive50.
The iX M60 follows on from the i4 M50 as another performance-orientated electric car, with both of these cars tuned exclusively by BMW’s M division.
The M60 gets bespoke air suspension that’s said to be even better in the bends. A range of carbon fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP) parts have been used - including the roof, side and rear sections - which helps to lower the iX’s weight.
As you might expect for a flagship model, the M60 boasts plenty of standard equipment. Highlights include its blue brake callipers with M badges, as well as its series of ‘Titanium Bronze’ accents for the badge and exterior trim.
Should you want the M60 to stand out even further, the 22-inch wheels can also be finished in the same eye-catching colour.
Other standard features such as soft-closing doors and BMW’s high-tech Laser headlights are included, alongside ventilated and massaging front seats, a full Bowers & Wilkins sound system and a full media system accessed via a ‘Curved Display’
