CUPRA has slashed prices of its Born electric hot hatchback by £2,350, and is tempting customers with a number of incentives.
The price cut applies to cars in stock at CUPRA dealers and to cars ordered from the factory, meaning prices now start at £34,125 while stocks last.
The firm has removed the 58kWh 201bhp version from sale, although cars in V1, V2 and V3 trim levels are still available to buy from stock with the new lower price. CUPRA has also axed the 58kWh 227bhp model in V2 Edition and V3 Edition trims, and the V2 77kWh 227bhp model.
The new simpler trim level comprises V1, V2 and V3 and all come in 58kWh 227bhp form, while the V2 and V3 get the option of the larger 77kWh battery and same 227bhp electric motor. Prices are £35,085 for the V1 58kWh 227bhp, £36,855 for the V2 58kWh, and £41,385 for the range-topping V3 77kWh.
Last month, CUPRA revealed a new high performance version of the Born, badged VZ, but hasn't yet revealed the price of the MG4 XPower rival.
As a sweetener, CUPRA is offering a 0% APR deal over 36 months or a £4,000 deposit contribution on 3.9% APR for 48 months for orders placed before April 2, 2024. For orders placed and handed over by March 31, 2024, customer will also get a free Ohme home charger and a £750 pre-paid Mastercard.
