Vauxhall has confirmed prices for its new Astra Sports Tourer, including the plug-in hybrid option. The PHEV will launch with a 1.6 litre petrol plug-in hybrid-e powertrain, which will produce 180HP and up to 42 miles of electric range (WLTP).
While petrol and diesel models will be available in two trim levels, the entry 'Design' and the enhanced 'GS-Line', the plug-in hybrid will only be available in the superior trim and starts from £33,400, with first deliveries expected in late summer.
This model features multifunction camera in the windscreen, active cruise control, four body cameras, five radar sensors, 17 inch black alloy wheels, heated steering wheel and ergonomic heated seats.
No matter the trim level, non-electrified models offer 608 litres of boot space, whilst the plug-in hybrid has 548 litres. Petrol and diesel models are available with Vauxhall’s optional 'Intelli-Space' feature, which adds a movable load floor that can be tilted to a 45 degree angle. 'Intelli-Space' includes improved storage areas for first aid and flat tyre kits, which are now discreetly hidden and can be accessed from the boot or rear seats. Vauxhall says this means if you get a flat tyre, you won't have to unpack the boot to access your tyre kit.
