Volkswagen has announced UK prices of its highly-anticipated ID. Buzz people carrier – and there won’t be many skint surfer dudes who will be able to afford the £57,115 starting price. 

The ID.Buzz will launch with a fully-loaded ‘1st Edition’ model, costing £62,995. Cheaper Life and Style trims will arrive later, priced as £57,115 and £61,915 respectively. 

All feature a 77kWh battery, 201bhp to a rear-mounted electric motor, and have an official range of 258 miles. Buyers are now able to ‘pre-book’ a Buzz with a £2,000 deposit at a dealer between 30 May and 30 June to secure a priority slot to specify their ID.Buzz during the ordering window. 

The pre-order is available on the five-seater ID. Buzz model and not the Cargo van variant.As a pre-booker, your order will be processed ahead of any placed when the general list opens in July.
